Piglin Head

What is a Piglin Head?

A Piglin Head is a wearable and decorative item in Minecraft that resembles the head of a Piglin. It is one of the few mob heads obtainable in the game and can be used for display, armor customization, and redstone contraptions. When worn, the Piglin Head causes other Piglins to react as if the player were one of them.

Where Can a Piglin Head Be Found?

Piglin Heads do not generate naturally and must be obtained by special means. They are dropped when a Piglin is killed by a Charged Creeper explosion, similar to other mob heads. Since creating Charged Creepers requires a Thunderstorm and the use of a Lightning Rod or Trident with Channeling, obtaining a Piglin Head can be quite challenging. More details about mob head mechanics can be found in the Mob Heads article.

What Can Players Do with a Piglin Head?

Piglin Heads can be worn as helmets, placed as decorative blocks, or used in redstone circuits. When powered by redstone, the ears of the Piglin Head will flap, making it a fun and unique addition to redstone contraptions. If worn, it does not provide armor protection but can be used for aesthetic purposes. Additionally, Piglins in the Nether react to players wearing a Piglin Head by becoming neutral, similar to how a Carved Pumpkin prevents Enderman aggression. More details about Piglin behavior can be found in the Piglin article.

Interesting Fact or Real-Life Connection
