Smithing Table

What is a Smithing Table?

A Smithing Table is a utility block in Minecraft used for upgrading Diamond gear to Netherite gear. It is also a job site block for Toolsmith Villagers, allowing them to trade tools with players. Unlike other crafting stations, the Smithing Table does not consume experience points when upgrading gear, making it the only way to obtain Netherite tools and armor without enchantment costs.

Interesting Fact or Real-Life Connection

Smithing Tables in Minecraft are based on real-world blacksmithing benches, which metalworkers use to forge and refine tools. The process of upgrading gear from Diamond to Netherite resembles real-life alloying, where stronger metals are combined to enhance durability and strength.
